Welcome to Grade 4!

Welcome to the Big Kids Hallway!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Kubik. I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year! We had a great day getting started in Grade 4 today. Students started their very first assignment, which has them read and think about this year’s schedule and some of the many topics they will be exploring this year. We had our first school assembly during which our principal went over school expectations for all places and situations at school. We spent some time getting to know each other a little bit and started to work on our classroom routines. I will be sending a Parent Survey home with your child tomorrow. Yes! Homework for you! The information you provide will be very valuable to me as I plan how best to meet the needs of your child! I look forward to meeting you at Meet the Teacher Night on September 12th.

I was having technical difficulties with my blog... sorry this is posted a little late.

Your child brought home his / her agenda today. This is a very important communication tool between school and home. We will write in our agendas each day at school. We will record upcoming events as well as homework assignments. You may also write notes to me in the agenda. Your child is responsible for showing you the agenda each day and having you initial it to show you have read it. Thank you for helping your child to develop this daily routine!

I look forward to meeting you  September 12th during Meet the Teacher Night!
BYOB picnic at 5:00.
Meet the teacher from
6:00 to 7:00 in our classroom.

Staying in Touch and Informed
I will most often communicate with you through email. I will be asking for your email on the Parent Survey that will be sent home tomorrow. You can easily find my email address on the MMH school website. It is: I also have a class blog which will provide curriculum information and links to websites that we use often. I do not use the blog as a weekly update but may have you and your student check it for special information from time to time. The blog is linked on our
School website:
The parent handbook is only available online this year. The school newsletter will also be there so remember to check it out often!
